Training at KEC
At the Killingworth Equestrian Center we treat each horse as the individual athlete that he/she is and we customize a program to suit his/her ability. Training methods are varied throughout the week to keep horses fresh and happy. Horses are typically worked six days a week with at least one day off a week. Training sessions may include being ridden, jogged, long lined or jumped. The amount the horse is worked depends on age, health, fitness levels and other special needs.
The staff at KEC will determine when each horse is ready to show and which shows would best benefit the horse and rider. Show ring opportunities exist from the local to national and world levels.
